Still in it.
Still making
music.
If you have songs sitting unfinished in your phone — you are exactly who I built this for.

"In songwriting the foundation is feeling.
Nobody is a beginner at feeling."
I have been there.
I am an indie singer-songwriter. I have been writing, recording, and performing my own music for over 15 years. I have sat in the silence between songs and wondered if the next one would come. I have recorded voice memo after voice memo — hundreds of them — trying to catch something real before it disappeared. I have stood in the studio and felt the gap between what I heard in my head and what was coming out.
That gap is where the real work happens. Not in technique. Not in theory. In the space between who you are and what you are making.
I record my own music at Undercaste Studios in Seattle. I am still in it — not someone who used to make music and now teaches it. I bring that lived experience into every collaboration. When we work together you are not getting a framework. You are getting someone who understands this from the inside.
"You are not the songs. You are not the output.
You are the art. Everything else flows from that."
What I believe about
this work.
Most artists I work with are not lacking talent. They are not lazy. They are not uninspired. They are disconnected. From their voice. From their sound. From the thing that made them want to make music in the first place.
The problem is never that artists cannot feel. The problem is that somewhere along the way they stopped trusting what they feel. They started making music for an imaginary audience instead of for themselves. They started producing the version of their sound they thought they were supposed to have instead of the one that was already there.
My job is to guide you back to yourself. Not to the artist you think you should be. To the one that already exists underneath the noise.
We start with identity before we touch the songs. Who are you as an artist. What is your sound. What direction are you building toward. Once that is clear everything else — the writing, the recording, the releasing — becomes significantly easier.
The background
The training.
I studied Applied Voice at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and hold a Music Theory certificate from Berklee College of Music, with additional coursework in Audio Production Techniques. My training spans private study with multiple voice teachers across 15 years — vocal science, body awareness, songwriting, and recording — all informing the way I work with artists today.
15 years. Still learning. Still making music myself.
